CLASS TASK - 25TH MARCH

Hi Year 12. For your lesson today, please take 4-5 of these pieces of the magazine and annotate answering the following question. This should be done in your blog. You'll have to download the relevant images and annotate them, they come as separate files:

HOW OR WHY COULD THE METHODS USED TO APPEAL TO THE 'RIP IT UP' AUDIENCE AFFECT AUDIENCE DEMAND FOR THE MAGAZINE?
-Think about the male skew. -Think about the heavy use of text.
-Think about messages and values.
-Think about why photography and film reviews are selected.
-Look at specific features.
-The layout/colour scheme/design of the front cover, etc.

WHAT COULD I DO TO IMPROVE?

Hi guys, some of you may have had your work back to amend it. You'll see below examples of student work to help you. Here are a few tips:

Make sure you are referring to your question

Look at how audiences see these artists

Look at how stereotypes are created

Look at the difference between the messages given to you in the images and the reality they show you

Look at how stereotypes are reinforced in the images

Reasons why the material has been chosen and what it says

 a LOGICAL ARGUMENT!!

How effective the features are and what they show us

 Representation vs reality

Take out the articles if they don't have any relevance
